About Kellyn.

I love problem solving.

I love learning why and how things work.

I love helping others.

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, passionate, problem solver, observer, thinker, questioner, curious. All of the elements of me come together to create my unique self. I started my higher education focused on connecting with students with a BA in Student Ministry from Geneva College to my MS in Media Arts and Technology, Web Design and Development, focused on Interaction Design. I am a learner, my goal is to never stop learning, fueled by a deep desire to know everything about everything. I strive to help others. For me this is through learning about individuals and helping them solve problems. Along with helping others to truly be the best selves. I desire to be a part of something bigger than myself. I want to make the world a better place. I believe I can do that by using my skills as a user experience designer, to help create and iterate a product to benefit others.

My extensive professional background working with and leading others has given me a unique way to thoughtfully connect to users. Taking time to truly understand the problem through understanding the users. Using research results to lead and push the design. Refining through bring it back to the users. Always keeping the problem as the path and the users and research as the way through.

I love my family. My husband, Drew and I can be found with our three children, Lorelei, Gus, and Eli, along with our amazing pup, Perla, and a cat, Charlotte (The cat is suppose to be my daughter’s, but we all know how that story goes). I enjoy skiing, biking, coffee, all things Disney, ska music, spending too much money crafting something I could have just bought, hoarding art supplies, singing loudly while in the car alone, reading, and really trashy reality tv, mostly found on Bravo.

An aesthetic-driven UX Designer, with a compassionate, empathic approach to problem solving.
