Re-Design of online academic journal, American Journalism website. https://www.american-journalism.org/. Increase functionality and aesthetics of the website. Updated navigation, search function, and archive organization.

My Role

I was the sole UX/UI researcher and designer for this project. I completed a/b testing and card sorting to add structure to the site’s navigation. Through competitor analysis and user surveys, updated the site’s archives for usability, mobile first, and visual appeal, while keeping design consistent with on-line scholarly journals

Results

Post-redesign has seen a 60% increase in monthly traffic. Site has seen a 3x increase in exit rate and a significant decrease in bounce rate.
